Account details you provide at registration; property, application, and screening information you or the other party to a deal submit; and usage data like which listings you view or favorite, so features like recently-viewed and saved searches work.
Screening results are visible in full to the tenant they belong to, and to the landlord or broker deciding on that application — never redacted from either side. Messages are visible to the participants in that conversation, and to our administrators — see automated reading below. Platform-wide statistics shown to landlords, brokers, and admins are aggregated, not individual application data.
Two things here are read by an AI model. When you use the home advisor, you are talking to one — that much is obvious from the screen. Less obvious: an administrator can also ask a model to read a message thread you are part of, so that a request which has gone unanswered can be summarised and put in front of a person.
When that happens, the model reads the recent messages and returns a classification — what the conversation is about, how urgent it is, and whether somebody should step in. It writes nothing back into your conversation and never takes part in it. Everything it decides is recorded, including who asked for it, and a person decides what follows.
It is not automatic. Every message you send is not read this way — somebody has to ask, thread by thread.
Where enabled, payment processing and e-signature are handled by third-party providers. We share only what those providers need to complete the transaction — a payment amount, or a document to be signed — not your full account history. The AI model described above is one of them: it is run by an outside provider, it is sent the messages and the property details needed to classify the request, and it is sent no more of your account than that.

You can also ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or ask us not to sell or share it. Depending on where you live we have 30 or 45 days to answer, and you do not need an account to ask.
