Terms of service

Last updated September 2026

1. Accounts

You’re responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide when registering, and for keeping your password secure. Landlords, property managers, brokers, and agents are responsible for the accuracy of listing and screening information they submit.

2. Listings and applications

Mastua provides the platform connecting tenants, landlords, brokers, and agents — we are not a party to any lease. Screening decisions, approvals, and lease terms are made by the landlord or their authorized broker/agent, not by Mastua.

3. Payments

Where payment processing is enabled, funds are handled through a third-party payment processor. Mastua does not store card numbers or bank account details directly.

4. Text messages (SMS)

If you give us your mobile number and agree to it, Mastua sends you SMS/text messages about your account and the property it relates to. What you receive depends on your relationship with us: residents and tenants get rent and payment reminders, payment confirmations, lease and account notices, maintenance updates and appointments, property notices and emergency property communications; owners, homeowners and landlords get property and account notices, maintenance updates, service appointments, vendor activity and management notifications; vendors and service providers get maintenance assignments, work orders, scheduling and property-access information, job-status and completion notices, and payment communications.

Agreeing to texts is never a condition of anything. You do not have to agree in order to rent, lease, purchase, own or manage a property, to receive housing or property-management services, or to perform vendor services. You are asked once, in your account settings, beside the full wording you are agreeing to, and the box is not ticked for you.

Message frequency varies with the activity on your account and your property. Message and data rates may apply, and those are between you and your mobile carrier. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Reply STOP to any message to stop them. That works at any time and we treat it as an instruction rather than a preference — no notification is important enough for us to answer STOP with another message. Reply HELP for assistance. You can also withdraw your agreement, or switch texts off entirely, in your account settings. We record what you agreed to and when, together with the exact wording you were shown.

We do not sell, rent or share mobile numbers or SMS consent with anyone for their own marketing. Numbers reach our messaging provider only so the message can be delivered. See the privacy policy for what we do with the rest of your information.

5. Changes

We may update these terms as the platform evolves. Material changes will be reflected here with an updated date.
